Position Description
The Registered Dietitian will join SHIFT's interdisciplinary clinical team to provide evidence-based nutrition care that supports disease prevention, performance, longevity, and overall health optimization. Working closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other care team members, the Registered Dietitian develops personalized nutrition strategies that integrate seamlessly into each Member's comprehensive care plan.
In addition to delivering exceptional clinical care, the Registered Dietitian contributes to educational initiatives, clinical innovation, Member engagement, and business growth through content development, special projects, and cross-functional efforts across the organization.

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, in-person position located in Chicago's River North neighborhood.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently demonstrates behavior and communication skills that reflect SHIFT’s commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern for every Member
- Provides individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy, nutrition counseling, and behavior change coaching to SHIFT Members and Fuel U clients through in-person and virtual visits
- Develops evidence-based nutrition care plans that align with each Member's medical history, laboratory data, body composition, lifestyle, and health goals
- Collaborates closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other care team members to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary care and ensure continuity across services
- Interprets and communicates nutrition-related diagnostic data, including laboratory results, DEXA body composition analysis, and other advanced health assessments, translating findings into practical recommendations
- Maintains accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation while following all applicable privacy, security, and HIPAA requirements
- Participates actively in interdisciplinary case reviews, clinical meetings, and care-planning discussions
- Develops educational resources and evidence-based content for Members, including articles, presentations, webinars, social media content, and other educational materials
- Supports business initiatives, special events, speaking engagements, and community outreach activities as needed
- Assists with administrative responsibilities and operational initiatives that support the continued growth and success of the Nutrition Department and SHIFT as a whole
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field with completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics
- Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field preferred
- Successful completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the State of Illinois, or eligible for Illinois licensure
Your Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of clinical nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy experience preferred in outpatient, lifestyle medicine, preventive care, concierge medicine, or wellness settings
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Attributes
- Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to interpret nutrition-related diagnostics and develop individualized, evidence-based recommendations
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational interviewing, and behavior change counseling skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to educate diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong customer service mindset, with professionalism, empathy, and sound clinical judgment
- Comfort learning and using new online systems and software
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments on time with a high degree of accuracy
- Passion for longevity medicine, preventive healthcare, nutrition science, and continuous professional development
