Physical Therapist

Rick Kang

Rick is a physical therapist with a decade of clinical experience across Australia and the United States. Passionate about human movement and biomechanics, he enjoys helping patients understand the root cause of their condition and believes education is just as important as treatment. Using a combination of hands-on manual therapy and individualized exercise programming, Rick helps patients recover from injury, improve movement, and return to the activities they enjoy most.

Rick has extensive experience treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions in outpatient settings. He is certified in Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction Training and enjoys integrating these techniques into personalized treatment plans when appropriate.

Rick earned his degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney, where he developed the clinical foundation that has shaped his evidence-based approach to care.

Outside of SHIFT, Rick enjoys strength training, scuba diving, bowling, and hiking. His passion for movement extends beyond the clinic and continues to fuel his curiosity about how the body moves and performs.
