Working directly with Dr. Ari Levy, MD, Chief Executive Officer
Who We Are
SHIFT is revolutionizing concierge medicine, seamlessly integrating Medicine 3.0 principles to optimize health, enhance longevity, and redefine the future of primary care. As a premier concierge medicine provider based in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, SHIFT merges gold standard primary care with elite fitness, nutrition, recovery, and mental well-being. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver science-based, high-touch, and deeply personalized healthcare.
At SHIFT, we aren’t just treating illness—we’re building health. We’re looking for a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to partner directly with our CEO, Dr. Ari Levy, and further elevate the care his members receive.
The Opportunity
Dr. Ari Levy, SHIFT’s CEO and a practicing physician, is seeking an experienced mid-level provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work alongside him in caring for his member panel. You will be his clinical partner: extending his reach between and beyond his own visits, so that every member has a responsive, knowledgeable point of contact while Dr. Levy continues to lead the company.
You will work in conjunction with SHIFT’s Director of Clinical Operations, to whom you report, and will report day-to-day clinical matters to Dr. Levy. You will practice under his supervision and collaboration, within clearly established protocols. Dr. Levy remains the physician of record for his members. He sets the clinical direction for each member and makes the final call on diagnoses, treatment plans, and sensitive or complex issues; you carry that plan forward, handle the day-to-day, and bring him the right issues at the right time. Members will experience you as an integral part of their SHIFT care team and an extension of Dr. Levy’s standard of care, not a substitute for it.
This is a role for a clinician who is confident in their own judgment, equally confident in knowing when to hand a decision to a physician, and energized by building a new model of care.
Who You Are
- Licensed and board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN/NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Illinois
- Minimum of 5-10 years of clinical experience, ideally in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, cardiology, concierge, executive health, or other high-performance care
- Sound clinical judgment, with a clear sense of when and how to escalate sensitive or urgent concerns to a physician
- Comfortable working under physician direction and established protocols, and proactive within them
- Passionate about high-touch, patient-centered care focused on prevention, longevity, and performance optimization
- Humble, with high relational intelligence, and a strong communicator who is equally at ease with busy executives, high performers, and members with complex health concerns
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable in a high-service, high-accountability environment
- Fluent with EPIC, and Microsoft Office; interested in using digital tools to improve care
- Adaptable, curious, and energized by a dynamic, fast-growing company; excited to help build the system while working within it
